CPSC awarding up to $2 million grants to help state, local governments avoid pool and spa hazards A grant application period runs through Wednesday, June 5, to assist state and local governments in reducing deaths and injuries from drowning and drain entrapment incidents in pools and spas. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a call for applicants for the 2019 Pool Safety Grant Program made possible through the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. The CPSC will award up to $2 million in two-year grants to state and local jurisdictions. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the solicitation on Grants.gov, under grant opportunity CPSC-19-001. For more information, read the full grant announcement.
